Fr. Smith’s Homily

Fr. Johannes Smith’s Homily on Eucharistic Adoration at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Danville PA – May 12, 2019

Fr. Johannes Michael Mary Smith:

Fr. Johannes is a Franciscan priest, originally from New York State, who has served in the Diocese of Harrisburg since February of 2018. He studied at Immaculate Mediatrix Theological Seminary (Italy) and was ordained in 2004. He holds a License in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome), specializing in Church History. He says: “My only real qualification for speaking on Eucharistic Adoration is my experience of adoring Our Lord regularly, living in the light of the Sacred Host for the past 25 years. Everything else is just book knowledge.” Father resides in a hermitage in Elysburg, dedicating himself to prayer, assisting the Carmelite nuns as needed (especially when the chaplain is away), and giving the occasional retreat or parish mission.
